Coming Home to the Church

Ryan Hanning, a Director of Parish Leadership Support for the Diocese of Phoenix will speak about why Catholics leave the church, why they return and practical steps to welcome them home. Ryan oversaw an incredibly successful campaign in Phoenix that welcomed 92,000 people back to the church in 2008. He will be conducting 3 free seminars to address these 3 questions. Many of us have family members or friends who have left the Catholic Church and we often struggle to understand their decision to leave. This seminar will help explain some of the reasons people leave, and most importantly, show us ways to warmly welcome them back into the fold.

The seminars will be held on:

Friday, September 28, 7pm-9pm at St. Patrick’s Parish, Vancouver (2881 Main St.)
Saturday September 29, 10am-noon at Our Lady of Fatima, Coquitlam (315 Walker St.)
Saturday September 29, 7pm-9pm at St. Matthew’s Parish, Surrey (16079 88th Ave.)

Please RSVP to Pat Deppiesse at pdeppiesse@rcav.org or 604-683-0281 if you wish to attend.
